Movement and light
Two flowers, two opening rhythms
Two flowers open and close with different timing. Staggered petals give each bloom its own rhythm, while a separate lighting comparison explores shape and atmosphere.
A pink flower opens first, followed by a yellow flower. Their petals open in stages, then the yellow flower closes before the pink one.

The pink flower opens first. The yellow flower follows, then closes ahead of it. Small delays between petals and rings make the movement unfold across each flower.
The petals move around simple hinges. An early version moved the pink flower in the wrong direction because its starting shape differed from the yellow flower. Correcting that outward movement gave the two flowers distinct opening and closing sequences.
A later study keeps the flower, camera and stage fixed while changing the light. Neutral light makes the petal layers easier to judge. Warm and cool accents change the depth and atmosphere. The comparison also reveals a centre attachment that still needs work.
